WHY BLAME SOCIETY WHEN WE ARE ALSO PART OF IT

WHY BLAME SOCIETY WHEN WE ARE ALSO PART OF IT

Before we delve into this article, let's examine the meaning of society. Society refers to a group of individuals who engage in continuous social interaction, or a large social group that shares a common spatial or social territory.

Have you ever seen a couple blaming society because it is against their inter-caste marriage? At this point, you might feel that it is justified to curse society for not accepting a happy couple regardless of their caste. But my point is, why blame society when we are also part of it? We have witnessed people who have been betrayed and say, "Bhalai ka to zamana hi nahin raha" (the times of goodness are gone). But who is responsible for making the times good or bad?

We, humans, are social creatures who like to live in a society surrounded by our friends and family. Even if you prefer isolation, you will miss human beings' presence around you. Moreover, it is not feasible to live in complete isolation in today's era unless you are a monk who is far from materialistic and social life. So, the bottom line is that at the end of the day, we have to live in society, and our basic needs are fulfilled by it. No matter how much we hate or curse society, the people who have helped us in tough times also belong to this society. This societal system has been running for years and has made our lives easier.

Suppose you are in a remote area where there is no electricity, internet, transport services, neighbors, general stores, restaurants, or people to interact with. In that case, you realize the importance of society and how it contributes to our lives.

Now, just because we are dependent on society doesn't mean that we have to suffer from its disadvantages. We have some people in society with a cheap mentality, but that does not mean we blame the whole society. We, the people, have the potential to change society. Change starts with ourselves. There is a famous quote by John Rin, "If you want things to change, you have to change. If you want things to be better, you have to be better."

If you want to change the world and society, then be the change. Be a person who never cheats people, and you will not be betrayed by society. Be a person who helps others in tough times. Together, we can change society and make it a better place to live in. We have removed many misconceptions from society like female foeticide, child marriage, and many more. So, next time, instead of just blaming and cursing society, let's put some effort into changing it. #BeTheChange
